We love road trips. And although we now live continents apart, we make it a point to come together to live yet again… another version of National Lampoon’s “European Vacation”… because our family love is seeing more of this world together.

Check out our Itinerary below:

May 7  Fly to Munich Meet Joaquin

Hotel:  Living Hotel Das Viktualienmarkt. 2Nights

May 7  Marienplatz, New Town Hall

Have Lunch by the Area of Glockenspiel (11AM or 12PM)

            Check out the English Garden – Eisbachwelle to see Surfers

            Dinner at Hofbrauhaus          

May 8. St. Peter’s Church – Climb the Tower for Panoramic View (Need to prebook)

            Lunch at Victuals Market

            Visit Asamkirsche Church

            Nymphenburg Palace (Need to Prebook)

May 9  Drive to Salzburg then Halstatt 2.5hours

Hotel:  Pension Bergfried. 2Nights

May 9  On the way to Halstatt, stopover (1.5hours) Salzburg for Lunch at Barenwirt

            Explore Getreidegasse and Mozart House

            Drive to Halstatt (1.2hour)

May 10 Salt Mines Tour and Skywalk

            Rent a Speedboat around the Lake

            Explore Town

May 11 Drive to Fussen 3.5hours

Hotel:  Hotel Hirsch Fussen. 1 Night

May 11. After Breakfast leave 9AM for Fussen to make in time for Lunch at Town 1PM

May 12. 9AM  Guided Tour of Neuschwanstein Castle

            Drive to Stuttgart 2.5hours

            Afternoon Tour of Porsche and Mercedes Benz Museum (Need to Prebook)

            Pick up Adi from Airport

May 13. Drive to Rothenburg then to Cologne 6hours

May 13            Explore Old Town Rothenburg (Drive from Stuttgart 2.5hours)

                        Drive to Cologne (3.5 hours)

Hotel:              The Midtown Hotel by The New Yorker 1 Night

May 14 Visit Cologne Cathedral and then Alstadt, Koln Rathaus and Grob St. Martin

Walking around the Old Town – Altstadt – is a must do in Cologne. Narrow cobbled streets with lots of cafes and breweries with traditional German beer and food, well preserved historical Town Hall – Köln Rathaus and picturesque St. Martin Church – Groß St. Martin.

May 14 Drive to Brussels 2.3Hours

Hotel:              Ibis Hotel Brussels Off Grand ‘Place 3Nights

May 15            Brunch at Mokafe

                        Explore Grand Place and see the Mannekin Pis

                        Friterie Tabora and Los Churros & Waffle

May 16 Drive to Bruges 1 hours 45 minutes

Quay of The Rosary, Belfry Tower (buy tickets in advance), Lunch That’s Toast near Grote Market , Minnewater Park, Blinde Ezelstraat, Drinks at Le Trappiste – Brewery. 

May 17  Drive to Zaan 2.5hours

(Option to pass by Keukenhof Gardens) Keukenhoff to Zaan 3omin

Hotel:              Zaan Hotel Amsterdam Zaandam 1Night

May 18            After Breakfast Visit the Zaanse Schans Windmill Village (Need to book tickets)

May 18 Drive to Amsterdam 22Min

Hotel:              Mercure Amsterdam North Station 3Nights

            * Buy a Multi Day Ticket to Travel GVB Buses, Metro, Ferries     

May 19            Damrak Avenue – Beurspassage,  Dam Square to Oude Kerk, Red Light District, Canal Tour, Anna Frank House (buy tickets), Dinner in Jordaan Neighborhood.

May 20            Beginhoff, Bloemenmarkt, Rijksmuseum or Van Gogh Museum (buy tickets), Picnic at Vondelpark, Albert Cuyp Market for pasalubong shopping, Try a “Coffee Shop”    

May 21            Explore Giethoorn and Utrecht

                        Leave for Manila in the Evening.
