Researching logistics for a family of 12 can be quite arduous especially when people have varying issues. Our group was composed of 2 senior citizens (one with a knee problem), a very pregnant sister in law (she was 7months then) and 2 families with kids (10-16yo). Convenience would always be the primary concern for everyone and so from the time of arrival up to departure to our next destination, I pre-arranged airport shuttles and considered a hotel that was located right in the heart of Sydney’s favored tourist attractions.

Situated in the heart of Sydney city, Swissôtel Sydney is ideally located for shopping, sightseeing and enjoying cultural events. It features deluxe 5-star rooms offering stunning city views. Guests enjoy an onsite day spa, 2 swimming pools, a bar and a restaurant.
Deciding to stay in Swissotel, Sydney was quite easy as it consistently ranked high in both Bookings.com and Agoda. Apart from the guests’ feedback that it was good for its “location, location, location”, I read impressive reviews about their service and overall scores in terms of cleanliness and various amenities. It was inevitable for us to experience what they were all raving about.
This luxury hotel is surrounded by Sydney’s most exclusive shopping centres, such as the beautiful Queen Victoria Building and iconic Westfield Sydney and is within walking distance to all of Sydney’s famous landmarks and cultural attractions including the Sydney Harbour Bridge, Sydney Opera House and the beautiful Botanic Gardens. Given that we would sometimes have different agendas during the day, it was easy for us to meet back in the hotel to converge for lunch or dinner. Dining was also a breeze around the hotel as there were many options, in fact too many interesting ones to consider.

Landmark views from our room.

Just Pure Bistro at Swissôtel Sydney serves modern Australian cuisine in an elegant setting. Crossroads Bar offers a light snack menu and an impressive cocktail list.

Each of the sophisticated rooms features a work desk, a pillow menu and luxurious bed linens. All include an en suite bathroom with a luxurious full-sized bathtub and a separate shower.
Overall, we were very happy with our experience there. Totals costs for our stay was good value for money considering the spacious rooms, well planned en-suite bathrooms, very efficient service and the irrefutable best location.

50 Meters from the hotel is a shopper’s paradise called Pitt Street Mall. A pedestrianized row of shops located in the heart of the CBD.
