And this we did easily, when we travelled from the East to West Coast last Summer.

The basic trip was MNL – LAX – MNL to get together with Mom and my Sister. We had two more weeks to explore so came the welcome challenge of expanding our itinerary within reasonable costs. Indeed, the strong will paved the way 🙂 Realising that we could use Delta SkyMiles to afford our Domestic Flights, I converted credit card points to close the required mileage for the whole family. That was USD700 pp savings!!!

Los Angeles to Boston 12,500 miles + USD5, Philadelphia to New Orleans 12,500 miles + USD5, New Orleans to Los Angeles 25,000 miles + USD5. Total Surcharge of USD15 and approximately 50,000 each.

It’s always a sunny feeling to reap the rewards from your expenses :)) Here’s where our miles took us…..
